Even today, nobody has a clue on the development status for Fallout 4 but every Fallout fan is certain that the game will be launched on both the Xbox One and PS4. Also, fans are expecting the game to feature high-end graphics.
Well, it seems that Fallout 4 with revolutionary graphics seem unlikely to happen. After witnessing how Fallout 3 was built on Elder Scrolls Oblivion’s game engine, there is a high chance for Fallout 4 to be produced with Elder Scrolls Skyrim’s game engine.
Skyrim was released years ago and even today, it looks marvellous when played on the Xbox 360 and PS3. On the downside of things, Skyrim only look decent at best when played on the latest generation gaming consoles. In other words, Fallout 4 too will look decent at best.
The chances for Fallout 4 to get a new game engine are slim as that would require Bethesda to pour more money and spend more time to develop Fallout 4. Thus, this will delay Fallout 4 further and this is not something that Bethesda would want.
