It wasn’t that long ago when fans of the Fallout series got duped into believing a hoax website that teases on Fallout 4. The fans were certainly fumed upon knowing that the teaser site is not the real deal. The teasers and rumours didn’t end there. Soon after, a series of hints and speculations surfaced.
The latest was discovered by our readers which spotted a Fallout title listed on IMDB under the category, videogame. Like every other IMDB listings, the title has an expected year of release. In the case of Fallout, it is 2017.
More information flooded the database upon clicking on Fallout. It appears that Bethesda’s Todd Howard will direct the game with a budget of $10,300,000. While it all sounds likely, there is a chance for this to be a hoax as well.
If you’ve used IMDB, you should know that the public can simply add on to the list without verification. This could be one of those cases. Even if they are legitimate, there is no chance for it to be listed for public viewing. Instead, the information will be restricted to IMDBPro users.
That’s not all. The year 2017 can leave you scratching your head. It is three long years from now and sharing this piece of information on IMDB this early simply doesn’t add up.
At the moment, there is no telling if this is legitimate or a hoax. Bethesda could be responsible for this. Heck, the game developer could just see it as a placeholder. Nevertheless, it is still a rumour and best taken with a grain of salt.
