Facebook has launched a new app and it is called Facebook Lite. The app is very identical to the normal Facebook except for the fact that is only 1MB in size and it aids in saving data usage.
In detail, Facebook Lite compresses every data used to ensure a quick and smooth connection. This will aid users in saving their data and also those on slow connection speed.
Unfortunately, however, Facebook Lite is not launched for the US. Apparently, this suggests that Facebook wants Americans to waste their bundled data. Conspiracy theories are suggesting that American telcos might have something to do with this.
Of course, there is no way to explain Facebookâs decision to prevent Americans from getting Facebook Lite. This is really upsetting and it is a shame since Facebook is from the US.
