Apple are preparing for the rumoured release of iOS 7.1 in March and this could arrive on devices including the iPhone 5S, the iPad Air and Mini retina.
The jailbreakers have been fast and tested each of the incremental updates from Apple with the jailbreaking tools.
The Evad3rs released Evasi0n 7 1.0.6 which jailbroke devices on iOS 7.0.6 but it brought with it an issue which meant that package information couldn’t be updated in Cydia.
This was soon patched by the team and the Evad3rs then launched Evasi0n 7. 1.0.7 for handsets and devices with iOS 7 through to 7.0.6.
This update was said to be for those who had suffered from the Cydia issue, however since the arrival caused issues with Cydia packages the update to the jailbreak needs applying by restoring a device that is affected and then running the jailbreak again.
We are not sure if this will be the last iOS 7.0.x update to come out before iOS 7.1 is released by Apple, this is supposed to be sometime in March. It is also possible tat CarPlay will be announced with iOS 7.1 in March too.
Jailbreakers have been telling owners of iOS to jailbreak with the latest version while they still have the option of doing so. When Apple launch iOS 7.1 users will then only be able to update to 7.1.
If you want to jailbreak your device then you should fully restore it and then jailbreak after disabling the passcode lock.
