There is no doubt that iOS 7.1 has been irresistible for some owners and the jailbreaking community have been left looking at the new OS in envy. Now fans of the untethered iOS are looking forward to the 7.1 jailbreak.
Apple said that iOS 7.1 has heavy security and we haven’t yet seen it being jailbroken, so they must be correct. However there has been an iOS 7.1 jailbreak for older handsets made available.
The only handsets capable of being jailbroken with iOS 7.1 are the older gen. these include the iPhone 4 and the 4S. This is down to the fact that there is an exploit for the A4 processor.
Alphawired made a post recently and suggested that the iPhone 5, 5S and 5C could soon be jailbroken.
The hackers will not have an easy time in beating the security of the A5, A6 and A7 processor and we could be waiting a long time. Some people have said that perhaps the hackers will wait until Apple launched iOS 8 before they release another jailbreak.
Owners of the iPhone do remain hopeful however, but for now if you own a 5th gen iPhone you may want to stick with iOS 7 for now.
