The latest Apple iOS 7.1 has been nothing but trouble for the jailbreak community. The firmware has got its security enhanced which worries the jailbreak scene.
Now, those worries are over as the untethered iOS 7.1 jailbreak is now available and it is developed by Winocm. The hacker took a hit at Apple by demonstrating the jailbroken iOS 7.1 running on his iPhone 4.
With the jailbreak now up and available, users of Apple devices that runs on the A4 chipset or lower, can now update their device to the iOS 7.1.
While it all sound exciting, it is important to note that the bootrom exploit on the A4 processor makes it easy to crack. The real challenge for jailbreak developers is with the Apple devices running on the A5 chipset or higher.
On another note, WWDC will be happening at the end of this month and the iOS 8 will surely be unveiled then. This simply explains why jailbreak grandmaster, Evad3rs, is not interested in the iOS 7.1 at all. Instead, most jailbreak creators are looking forward to the iOS 8.
AlphaWired remained hopeful and is confident that there will be the iOS 7.1 jailbreaks for the iPhone 5, 5s and 5c. As challenging as it may be, one does not underestimate the capabilities of these hackers.
