One of the biggest MMORPG game is about to arrive and it is none other than the highly anticipated The Elder Scrolls Online. Like every other MMORPG titles, the game will have a huge map with plenty of quests to do and a massive storyline to follow.
The build-up to The Elder Scrolls Online has been massive and just about every RPG lovers would want to have it. At least that was how it was before the price got shaped up.
A discussion at Reddit has removed the blindfold many Elder Scrolls fan and have opted to boycott the product. There appears to be many red flags that will stop players from getting the game.
First, there is the charge to purchase the game, which will be about $40-$50 where every gamer is fine with. Then there are the monthly subscription charges of about $15/month to play the game. The fans might be frustrated but it is still understandable. After all, it is an MMORPG title.
The Elder Scrolls Online crossed the line when a collector’s edition of the game which costs more than the normal version and will offer players one extra race. It got worse when this Explorer’s Pack is only available with pre-orders.
Taking into account the unlimited microtransactions that are bound to plague the game, The Elder Scrolls Online is actually a costly game and a huge rip-off. The game developer is actually guilty of trying to leech every cent from the gamers.
What ticked the gamers off is the fact that the game developer purposely secluded one race and charges the players who wish to acquire it. Normally, these kind of things involve items and such but to touch on the available races is simply too big to avoid. It will definitely influence on how The Elder Scrolls will shape up.
As of this moment, a video calling the fans to boycott The Elder Scrolls Online is going viral as well (see below) Youtube. Perhaps soon, the game developer will reconsider their decision and revise the charges.
