Game developer EA seems to like being in the middle of controversy. Just last week, the company became the target of an angry mob of gamers after a Twitter image revealed that EA Sports was charging players for trying out UFC Demo on the Xbox One.
The image, which has gone viral on the internet, further revealed that FIFA 14 Demo was also subjected to charges. This is really ridiculous from EA as the definition of demo means free to try.
Then again, there weren’t any charges for the PS4 version of the games. Could it be that EA is provoking the Xbox community?
Today, things were finally clarified as EA went out to assure the gamers that it was an honest mistake from their end. The game developer confirms that demos are free of charge. This is a great relief as it also confirms that the upcoming NBA 2K15 and Battlefield Hardline will also be free to try.
