Dodge Recall Charger Because Owner Won’t Read Manual

Dodge will be issuing a recall but unlike most of the recall we hear this year,t his recall is a little unique because the recall did not need to happen if only the driver took the effort to read the manual and follow the instructions.

According to FCA, the unique shape of the Dodge Charger means that driver will need to use the wheel chocks to stabilize the Charger before using a jack to change the wheel.

Not using would increase the changes of the vehicle slipping causing unwanted damage to the vehicle and injuries to the person changing the tires. According to Dodge, they have also received three reports of the problem causing minor injuries to their customers.

To avoid this from happening in the future, Dodge is now recalling 441,578 units of the 2011-2016 Dodge Charger. Affected owners will be given free wheel chocks so that they can change their tires safely.
