For decades now, Jeep has been dominating the 4×4 segment in the US. The latest Jeep Renegade is built to extend the company’s success in the automotive industry but it is about to be challenged by a newcomer from Chevrolet.
The other carmaker from America has just unveiled the Niva and it is going to be the company’s best compact SUV in history. While details are scarce at the moment, the released concept images tell us that the Niva will come with BFGoodrich tires, a winch, snorkel, underbody cladding, tow hooks, integrated lamp guards, auxiliary lighting and roof rack.
All these features are some high-end equipment for an off-road adventure. Despite all of that, Chevrolet remains true to their design philosophy as the Niva still maintains the hallmark designs from the company.
Some might view the Niva with scrutiny as it is actually a vehicle from Russian carmaker, Lada. However, the predecessors have always been built by General Motors which gives the Niva every right to carry Chevrolet’s symbol.
