The game publisher is known to hire multiple production studios to create separate Call of Duty games. There are Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Sledgehammer. Despite the fact that Call of Duty maintained an annual release, the three game developers will take turns in developing each title.
Activision further revealed that this year’s Call of Duty game will have Sledgehammer at its helm. Unless you’ve heard, the game developer is the one responsible for the Modern Warfare series.
Activision even applauded Sledgehammer for offering plenty of fresh ideas and has that creativity to raise the bar for the next-gen games.
With all of these in mind, there is an overwhelming excitement and expectation from the fans that this year’s Call of Duty game is Modern Warfare 4. Of course, this is yet to be confirmed by both Activision and Sledgehammer.
