When Activision announce that they will be remastering the Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare, they also added that the remaster version will be offered with the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare which means players will have to get the new game if they want to enjoy the remaster version but new reports are now claiming that fans might be able to get the remaster version without having to purchase the Infinite Warfare.
According to David Pellas, the Director of Raven, the team behind the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, players that own the Modern Warfare Remastered or the version that comes with Infinite Warfare will be getting all of the 16maps without any additional cost.
That seems to suggest that players might actually be able to choose if they would like to buy the remaster version on its own or get it with the new Infinite Warfare. We do not know if the standalone version will be offered at the same time as Infinite Warfare or be offered a few months after Infinite Warfare arrives.
