The COD: Ghost was expected to break GTA 5’s record before it was launched. However, Activision’s Call of Duty: Ghosts had failed to meet the expectation that the game would beat Rockstar’s GTA 5 initial sales. The GTA 5 won 7 Guinness World record from its launched. It would take a really great game to beat it.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is the latest addition to the bestselling COD game. Considering the previous success of the COD games, fans expected that Call of Duty: Ghosts could break GTA 5 game. Not being able to beat the GTA 5 in terms of initial sales figure did not mean the Call of Duty: Ghosts is failure. COD: Ghosts only had to face a game with a larger fan base and some fans might be waiting the game to be released on the next gen consoles.

GTA 5 recorded sales figure as high as $1 billion on the first three days upon its released while the Call of Duty: Ghosts was ordered by retailers for $1 billion but the game was not bought by customers on this amount in three days upon its launch. But then again, we couldn’t really say that the COD: Ghosts lost to GTA 5. The battle is far from its end since the games are yet to compete on the PS4 and Xbox One.

Positive reactions on the Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer had been seen among fans. Despite having a lower rating than its predecessors, the Call of Duty: Ghosts still able to offer gamers great challenge and satisfaction. COD: Ghosts did meet fans expectation in terms of gameplay quality.
