We all know that BMW and Mercedes-Benz have been going at each other sine the beginning so when BMW release the BMW i3, everybody assumes that we will be seeing a BMW i3 rival coming from Mercedes-Benz but it looks like that might not happen after all.
According to Mercedes, they definitely have the capability to come out with a BMW i3 rival but added that that is not what they are focusing on right now. They added that their goal now is not to create an eco-friendly fuel-efficient model.
Their aim is to produce a new range of zero-emission model. They are also hoping that by next year, they will be able to offer 1- plug-in hybrid model. We should also be seeing the GLC based CUV model at the end of next year. That model will be powered by a fuel cell engine.
