We understand that having the dash fitted with a protruding touchscreen display might be the trend right now but it also feels like the automakers just got tired of designing the interior and choose to just stick a touchscreen on an empty spot.
Models like the Mazda 3, Mercedes G-Wagon as well as the BMW i3 all came with a protruding touchscreen design and it looks like some consumers are not too happy about that.
Most of them seem to feel like these automakers can and should actually spend more time integrating the touchscreen display into the dash and not it stick it on. At least make a cover for it or something.
Other reported that the design makes the display look like it is detachable and some of them said that they had to actually go back to the dealer because their passengers think that it is detachable and pulled at it causing it to come loose.
