The Apple iPhone 6 is undeniably great. It is larger, sleeker and more powerful than most other smartphones right now. Then again, the same can be said for the all-new Blackberry Passport and today, we will be comparing it with the iPhone 6 to see which is truly better.
Unlike the smartphone from Apple, the Blackberry Passport came out with a square structure that consists of a three-row physical keyboard embedded on it. The Passport has a 4.5” display that offers 453ppi, thus, making it sharper than the iPhone 6’s 4.7” display that only has 326ppi to offer.
Underneath the casings, the iPhone 6 is famous for its brand new Apple A8 processor with 1GB of RAM and PowerVR GX6450 GPU. Benchmark tests have proved that this is slightly more powerful than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU which is equipped by the Passport.
In terms of storage space, the iPhone 6 comes with fixed memory of 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. The Passport, on the other hand, has a fixed internal storage of 32GB but this can be expanded via microSD to 128GB.
Furthermore, the Passport is able to outlast the iPhone 6 since it came out with 3450mAh battery that is contrastingly larger than the 1810mAh battery pack on the latter.
To complete the package, the Passport features a 13MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. Meanwhile, the iPhone 6 is granted with a decent 8MP rear camera. Considering the fact that the Passport retails at $585 and the iPhone 6 16GB retails at $649, it seems that the former is the better choice overall.
