When the Blackberry Passport was first released, nobody really had any issue with the hardware specs of the device. If the Blackberry Passport was given the Android OS, the device definitely could have done better.
The Blackberry Priv was a good example. After a few failed attempts, Blackberry finally gave in. Instead of running on the Blackberry 10 OS, the Priv came running on the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. Pair that with Blackberry’s safety features and the smartphone was an instant hit.
The new Blackberry Priv sports a 5.4inch display screen with 1440 x 2560 resolution and 541ppi. The device will also be running on the Snapdragon 808 chipset with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The Priv was equipped with an 18MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera and will be powered by aa 3410mAh battery.
We are expecting to see a few more android powered devices coming from Blackberry this year.
