Fiat Chrysler objected when Audi wanted to use the Q2 and Q4 name for their upcoming new SUV models. It was initially thought that Audi will be looking for a new name for their models but it looks like that won’t be the case.
According to Ruper Stadler, the CEO of Audi, Audi and Fiat Chrysler has now come to an agreement and that Audi will be getting their hands on the Q2 and Q4 name. It is believed that Audi also gave up a few trademark of their own to get the two names although nobody knows what Audi traded in return for the names.
According to Stadler, no money had changed hands.
With Audi now securing the Q2, it won’t be long before we see the badge on the upcoming subcompact crossover. It is believed that the new sub-compact crossover will be coming in with the MQB platform and that it will be making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show this year.
