Audi has now confirmed that they are working on a new filter for their Audi models. Models like the Audi A1, Audi A3, and Audi Q3 will be the first few to get the upgrade.
According to Audi, the new filter will be used in their climate control feature and that it can be used to filter most allergens and also removes fine particulates and harmful gases from the air.
There will be two versions of these filters both with three layers to help filter out all the harmful allergens. Here is what Audi has to say about the filter.
“The two layers present in existing filters also make a significant contribution to the high air quality in the interior. The filtration layer made up of special microfibers removes even the tiniest of particulates from the air. Gaseous impurities are trapped in the activated carbon layer”
According to Audi, models like the TT will also be getting the upgrade while the Audi Q2 will come with the air filter when it arrives.
