Ubisoft made it clear that they will not be releasing an Assassin’s Creed game this year and we all assumed that they will only be taking a year off Assassin’s Creed. However, new reports are now suggesting that Ubisoft might be taking more than a year off the game and that we might not even see an Assassin’s Creed game next year.
Tommy Francois, the VP of Editorial for Ubisoft reveal that he thinks games like Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry needs a year of Alpha before it is ready to be release. He added that if that means the games will be missing 2017, so be it.
Asking fans to wait longer is usually a bad thing but the fact is that we are not really mad that they are taking more time with the game. In fact, that was what the fans wanted in the first time. Ubisoft was trying to squeeze out a game every year and that clearly hasn’t been working out for them.
Fans are hoping that with all the extra time, they would be able to deliver a better game this time around. In case you did not hear, it is said that the next game will be set in Egypt.
