The Apple Watch will be produced in many varieties that are broken into two categories, 38mm and 42mm. Within the categories, there is also the display option of either sapphire or glass. Is there a noticeable difference between both displays?
We questioned those that were present at the Apple Spring Forward event and all of them claim that there isn’t any noticeable difference between the two screens. Apparently, everything looks the same regardless of whether it is sapphire display or glass display.
If so, then the difference would only be with the quality of the materials. Sapphire is obviously stronger than concrete so there is no doubt that it will be more durable, rugged and hard to break even when scratched on a wall. Glass, on the other hand, is weak and easy to shatter from just a drop.
In terms of display quality, there is nothing that is able to split both glass and sapphire display.
