The Apple Watch is currently in production and it will be the first ever smartwatch to come from the Cupertino-based company. Apple also highlighted that the Watch’s app will be processed by the iPhone or iPad it is paired to.
This has left consumers worried on whether the Apple Watch has any functions at all when not paired to an iPhone or iPad.
Well, the answer is yes. We made an enquiry to Apple and the company shared with us that the clock functions will continue to work even not paired to an Apple device. On the other hand, there is that safety feature where the Apple Watch will continuously beep whenever the iPhone or iPad it is paired to is not close by.
Of course, third-party applications will surely be working based on their functions. At the moment, developers are currently working on apps for the Apple Watch and they are confirmed to be ready come next year.
Finally are the health functions. Apple said that the pedometer and heart beat sensor will work independently on the Apple Watch, thus, removing the constraint of having to connect with an iPhone or and iPad.
