The latest Windows 8 is certainly an upgrade from the old Windows 7 but many disliked it due to the new interface that simply made things more confusing for the masses. This has also provoked our curiosity on whether the OS X is in any way, better than Windows 8. Check out our discovery below.
1. Superior Hardware
The OS X is built to run only on Apple devices and today, most of them are equipped with the latest and the best hardwares in town. While Windows 8-operated devices are offering something similar, the OS from Microsoft is simply not built to run at high resolution. The OS X has support for extreme resolution.
2. Free of Bloatware
Since the OS X is built exclusively for Apple laptops and desktops, there aren’t any adware or third party tools being forced to the user. The Windows 8 is passed to third party machine developers and often forces unknown and unneeded software to their users.
3. No Anti-Virus
The OS X does not rely on Java or Flash when being developed which makes it lesser open to viruses. Also, the system has the Gatekeeper tool which makes it super hard for hackers to bypass. This is why most hackers spend their time on Windows 8 due to its vulnerabilities.
4. Updates
The OS X is also super courteous as it actually informs the user on an update first, while also detailing on the sort of changes coming with the update. The Windows 8 seems to update as and when they please and it eats up a long time to complete. Also, users does not have a clue on what the update is about.
5. Trackpad
When on the MacBook, the OS X powers the Trackpad in a way that there are so many gestures user can use to control the laptop. The ones offered by Windows 8 laptops are limited to scrolling and zooming at best.
