It looks like Apple is planning to put their Force Touch tech to full use as new rumors suggest that the next Apple MacBook might be coming in without a keyboard.
The keyboard space will be replaced with a with a force-sensitive pad that will work as a keyboard. The speculation start after new patent files from Apple was released. They called it the “force-sensitive input structure for electronic devices”.
According to the report, the layout of the pad can be configured to suit your own need so users can have different settings for gaming, writing and more. The report also added that the removal of the keyboard will also help improve the battery life and reduce the risk of the laptop breaking.
The removal of the keyboard might also help Apple in their goal to go even slimmer. They have already taken out the buttons on the trackpad so it would not surprise us if the Keyboard is the next one on the chopping board.
