LG and Samsung have been playing around with curved screens for some time now but Apple seems contented with the standard flat display screen but not for long or, at least, that is what the patent files are suggesting.
One of the many patent files filed by Apple titles Electronic Device with Wrapped Display showed that Apple might be working on a new wraparound display. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge where the screen ends at the edge, Apple is working to have a display that wraps the device from one side to the other.
The patent files also reveal that Apple might be using glass or sapphire to make the display screen more durable. The idea itself is pretty interesting but we do not know if this is going to happen or not.
With Apple filing patent all the time, there is a possibility that we might not see this coming at all.
