One of the issues Apple users have been having with the iOS is that since it does not support text files, the device tends to convert your text files to .pages or .docx which can be quite an inconvenience to some but it looks like things might be changing soon.
When Apple showed off the new iOS 10 on stage at the WWDC, they might have accidentally and intentionally reveal that the upcoming software upgrade will include a TextEdit app.
The app was spotted on the screen when Apple was through the new IOS. Of course, the app could just be there for show and will not be there when the iOS 10 arrives but we hope that is not the case.
Apple has been trying to make things work more seamlessly between their Apple iOS and MacOS and this will definitely help. You can see the TextEdit app image here.
