Is Apple really going to drop Qualcomm for Intel when they release the Apple iPhone 7? Well, not really although some device will be running on the Intel modems instead of Qualcomm.
At least that the what Bloomberg is saying. It is said that some US version of the upcoming iPhone 7 like the AT& T version and some of the Apple iPhone 7 in other markets will be coming with an Intel modems.
However, Apple will still be working with Qualcomm for the rest of the markets. The Apple iPhone 7 for China will still be powered by the Qualcomm modems. This deal wold benefit Intel, who have been trying to make their mark in the smartphone industry for some time now but we will have to wait and see how this affects the sales of the Apple iPhone 7.
Is this bad news or good news for the Apple fans?
