Android YouTube Now 4K Ready!

Android smartphone broke the barrier of resolutions last year when their devices mostly came out with 4K video recording feature as a standard. In addition to that, most Android smartphones now comes with QHD screen.

YouTube knows that it won’t be long before 4K becomes the average standard in the gadget world and after a lengthy spell of silence, the video sharing website launched update 10.0 for its app on the Android platform.

The new update introduces many fixes to the YouTube app, while also allowing it to play 4K videos. Of course, this also depends on the device that users are using. If the smartphone or tablet does not come with 4K support, then there is no purpose to playing 4K clips aside from wasting data.

Regardless, YouTube is now well-prepared for the future and other apps should follow suit as well. That way, nobody will have a hard time in finding support for 4K when the resolution goes mainstream.
