If there is a flaw with smartwatches running on the Android Wear platform, it is with the fact that it is only compatible with smartphones that are powered by Android 4.3 and above. There is basically no way for the Android Wear-powered devices to pair with an iPhone.
Well, now it is possible to do so. Despite having different APIs with the iOS platform, one Android Wear user is able to pair his smartwatch with the iPhone.
The lad, known as MohammadAG, posted a video on YouTube to prove this and it shows the Moto 360 being paired to the iPhone 6. The evidence is with the YouTube notification that pops out on his smartwatch while being paired to his iPhone 6.
Of course, a lot of effort is applied for MuhammadAG to accomplish this. The lad shared that there is no need to jailbreak the iPhone 6 and the method can be done by tweaking the iOS APIs.
The method is actually identical to how Pebble works. MuhammadAG claims that the nervy part is with the long wait for the Bluetooth LE to identify Appleās API. Development is understood to still be in its early build but at this rate, iPhone users can soon pair their device with an Android smartwatch.
