It has been only a month since Sony began launching the much longed for Android 5.0 Lollipop update to its Xperia handsets and teh Japanese tech giant are now getting ready to bring out the newer Android 5.1 Lollipop.
An industry insider has claimed that the firmare update is currently in its final testing stage. If this information is correct then the Android 5.1 update will come out before this month is over.
It is quite clear that the first ones to get the Android 5.1 update will be the Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z2 . The update will be released via OTA just like the Android 5.0 Lollipop update was.
There will be more new features included with the Android 5.1 update and it will also provide a stable built of the Lollipop OS. Therefore users of the Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z2 will be enjoy the a great experience from the Lollipop platform in the near future.
