We heard from Motorola that they would be sending out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to the Moto G and following this news it wasn’t long before an owner in India and member of the XDA Developers told us that they had received a notification for the update for the XT1033 version of the device.
They said that I was the official version of Android 5.0 Lollipop with the number of 220.21.16.en.03 for the Moto G. So it does look as though the first region to be given the update for the handset is India. With the update it means that right now the Moto G is the most affordable handset to be given the update in India.
However what we would like to know is whether you have the Moto G and whether you have been offered the update to Android 5.0 Lollipop yet?
