So the latest Android OS had been released. The Andorid 4.4 KitKat had an updated Linux kernel which would enable support by older devices that has lower RAM along with flash-Friendly File-System Support, full support on NVIDIA Tegra and Samsung Exynos DRM drivers. It had been reported that some of the older Samsung device would be getting the Android 4.4 KitKat update. This includes the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the original Samsung Galaxy Note.
Previously, SamMobile has posted a list of Samsung smarphones that would get the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Android 5(but Google announced Android 4.4 instead) update. The list was claimed to be given by a Samsung insider. It was mentioned that the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update would be the last one for Samsung Galaxy S2 and Samsung Galaxy Note 1.

The Android 4.4 KitKAt would give smartphones wider network coverage and improved compatibility,enhanced screen orientation responsiveness, better processor support on Exynos chipset and it would also improve the RAM’s speediness. Other than that, the batter life on the Samsung smartphones would also be prolonged.
