The Honda Fit is one of the most popular hatchbacks in many major US cities due to its efficiency, dependability and affordability. Despite that fact, Honda is forced to call back the Fit after discovering an issue with the vehicle.
In detail, 6,000 Fits manufactured between April 11 and June 9 this year is suspected to have the incorrect A-pillar interior cover. This can affect the performance of the side curtain airbags in a crash, thus increasing the risk of an injury.
The list of Fit believed to be suffering from this has been released by Honda and owners will be notified accordingly. Once the individual receives the call back instruction, they are advised to get their Fit checked at the nearest Honda service centre. The employees there will then replace the parts at no charge at all.
It has been quite a while since Honda was forced to do a recall on its vehicle. Perhaps, quality is on a decline for the Japanese carmaker.
