Yesterday, Honda made an urgent announcement, calling for the latest Honda Fit drivers to get their car checked at the nearest Honda service centre. The Japanese carmaker revealed that an issue is found on the hatchback and it needed an urgent fixing.
In detail, the problem is with the A-Pillar, which is wrapped with an incorrect cover. The A-Pillar is where the side curtain airbags are and with the wrong parts on the vehicle, it might cause the safety features to malfunction.
The issue is believed to have affected 6000 Honda Fit in the US that is manufactured between April 11 and June 9 this year. Sending the car to a service centre will see the cover replaced by the correct model at no charge.
If you are a Honda Fit owner, you better get your car checked this instance. While there may be no fatalities that are caused by this mishap yet, you don’t want to be the first.
