On another note, consumers believe that there will be two iPhone 6 coming out with one being a phablet. Also, this upcoming device will be built with sapphire glass. As a result, Apple’s production expenses have certainly increased with some analyst hinting that it is up to 50% more.
This will surely affect the price tag of the iPhone 6. When the device arrives in China, there is a chance for it being sold for $1285 for the entry level 16GB variant. On the other hand, the 64GB iPhone 6 4.7 inch will look to cost $1k flat.
Despite the rise in the cost of the iPhone 6, many market researchers believe that it will not scare off the consumers. The idea for the iPhone 6 to be like a phablet manages to harness the interest of consumers worldwide. As such, the phablet iPhone 6 will definitely sell well.
The problem will only be with the iPhone 6 4.7 inch model. With so much excitement for the phablet, not much interest is shown for the ‘smaller’ brother. Under the hood, both iPhone 6s are expected to offer the same A8 processor and the iOS 8.
The release date will be different with the 4.7 inch to come in September or October and the 5.5 inch during Christmas period.
