It is rare to see a China smartphone getting released outside of its border but when it happens, the device is always something special. The latest smartphone to step out of China is the Xiaomi Mi 3 and true enough, the device is extraordinary.
After just getting launched in India, the Mi 3managed to capture the eyes of the world as it has so much to offer under a micro price tag. Dubbed as the Apple of China, the Mi 3 retails at Rs14,999. This translates to only $250.
The Mi 3 sports a 5” 1080p IPS display that produce crisp images. This is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz and Adreno 330 GPU with 2GB of RAM. However, the storage space is limited to 16GB with no support for a microSD card.
The Mi 3 is also equipped with a 13MP rear camera that features a SonyBSI Sensor and an f/2.2 aperture with a dual-LED flash. The front camera is a 2MP shooter that can take any selfies with clarity.
The Mi 3 is truly a remarkable device and it is comparable to established power smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8 and the latest LG G3. It is also important to note that the Mi 3 is about one-third the price of the above devices.
