It has finally happened. Fans of the RX-8 have been waiting for Mazda to release a successor for the Mazda RX-8 and it looks like the wait might be over soon.
We have not heard from Mazda yet but according to Holiday Auto magazine, a magazine in Japan, Mazda will be releasing a new successor for the RX-8. They reported that the board of directors has given the engineering, design, and production a thumbs up.
It is also believed that the successor which would most likely be called the Mazda RX-9 will go on sale in 2020. It is said that a prototype version of the upcoming rotary coupe might make an appearance at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.
Of course, there is no way for us to know if this is true or not so it is best if you can take it with a grain of salt for now.
