No, we are not talking about the range of the possible upcoming Maserati EV, we are talking about Maserati’s plan to come out with a new electric powered Maserati EV by 2019.
We know that Maserati has not been the biggest fan of electric powered models but with a few European countries now working towards a non-emission future, Maserati will have to be changing their tune if they want to be relevant in the future.
According to Marchionne, Maserati will be working on an electric powered model. He also added that we might be seeing a Maserati Levante SUV model in the near future. Although we are hearing this from Marchionne himself, some believe that they will be changing their tune once again in the future.
Maserati did point out that electric vehicles do not make money so we might see another change of plan in the near future but for now, it looks like EV is in the future for Maserati.
