GM was one of the automakers that made fun of Ford when they first announce their plans for the aluminum Ford F-150 but look at what they are doing to the Chevrolet Silverado now.
While GM has not announced it yet, new reports are suggesting that the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado will be coming in with more aluminum parts to future reduced the weight of the truck.
It is said that their goal for the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado is to be more efficient, stronger as well as lighter but that is not the only Ford features they were copying.
Spies also managed to take a few shots of the Silverado when it was out getting tested in the snow. The vehicle was heavily covered in camo stickers and padding to look like a Ford. They gave the prototype a Ford like front grille and taillight but they are not fooling anybody this time.
