Rumors about Chevrolet building a new mid-engine model started earlier this year when spies spotted the Corvette getting tested. When it was first spotted, the vehicle was heavily covered up so there wasn’t really much to see but since then, more and more details about the Chevrolet Corvette have been revealed.
It has bee reported that the new Chevrolet Corvette is currently codenamed Emperor and tat Chevrolet is thinking about debuting it in 2018 or 2019. It was later speculated that the new mid-engine Corvette could be coming in with a DOHC V8 engine that it might be fitted with a 7 speed TR-7007 and TR-9007 transmission.
As of now, we are still waiting for Chevrolet to give us more details about the upcoming Corvette but they have been keeping a tight lid on things.
The front engine Chevrolet Corvette, on the other hand, will still continue to stay on until 2021.
