There is not a lot of details about the upcoming Chevrolet Corvette right now but it is believed that the upcoming model will be coming in with an upgraded powertrain. New rumors are now suggesting that the upgraded powertrain will be able to push out about 700hp.
According to Torque News, GM might be working on a new top of the range engine for the upcoming Chevrolet Corvette. He also added that they are working to get the engine to deliver about 750hp for the Corvette. The Camaro will be getting a little fewer ponies.
The current Chevrolet Corvette base model will offer about 650hp and 650lb ft of torque thanks to the supercharged LT4 V8 engine. The Hellcat engine powered models will offer about 707hp and 650lb ft of torque. Both nowhere near what the new engine could be offering.
Of course, we do not know if this rumor is the real deal or not so take it in with a pinch of salt.
