Talks about Volvo working on a Volvo XC40 have been going on for some time now and now it looks like Volvo is ready to release more details about the Volvo XC40.
The new Volvo XC40 will be coming in to sit below the Volvo XC60 and the Volvo XC90. It has been reported that the XC40 might be the first model to come with Volvo’s new platform.
Initially, it was predicted that the Volvo XC40 was going to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show but a new report suggest that Volvo will be showing its offer at the Shanghai Auto Show instead.
Since it is owned by Geely, the news does not come as a surprise. The XC40 based model will be powered by a 1.5 liter three-cylinder engine that will be offering about 180hp when it arrives. There will also be a plug-in hybrid engine option as well.
