To make the Porche Cayenne a success, Porsche had to bring together both the Audi Q7 and Porsche Macan.
Although we still do not know much about the Porsche Cayenne, the spy shots suggest that the new Porsche Cayenne will be coming in with a brand new design that is based on the Porsche Macan. Of course, the Macan is not their only source of inspiration as Porsche also seems to have borrowed from design feature from the Panamera Sports Turismo as well.
So where does the Audi Q7 fit in? Well, it has been reported that the Audi Q7 platform will be the one the Porsche Cayenne will be riding on when it arrive. The light platform should have taken away 340 to 440 pounds from the Porsche Cayenne.
We are still waiting for Porsche to reveal a little more detail about the upcoming Porsche Cayenne. Hopefully, more details will surface soon.
