Android and iOS users are still waiting for Mazda to offer them the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support and based on what Mazda has to say about the matter, it does not seem like the support will be arriving anytime soon. In fact, it sounds like Mazda is not planning to offer the support at all.
While the iOS users will still have to wait, the wait is over for the Android users thanks to Google. Google has now released the Android Auto app on their PlayStore which means all their Android users will be able to use the Android Auto app on their smartphone.
It will work just like the one in the vehicle but since the OK Google is not supported right now, users will have to tap on the microphone manually to use the voice command. The app will work on any Android device that runs on the Android 5.0 OS and above.
