Even though Jeep will start offering the new Jeep Wrangler at the end of this year, customers will still be able to get the current Jeep Wrangler even after the new Jeep Wrangler has arrived.
According to Bruce Baumhowever of UAW Local 12, the Jeep Wrangler plant will continue to produce the current Jeep Wrangler until March next year which means the current version and the new version will overlap for a short period of time.
The new Jeep Wrangler will still be keeping its body-on-frame design this year although it will be using more aluminum this time around. Under the hood is a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will be mated to an eight-speed auto transmission. The V6 engine will also be upgraded.
There were also talk about a possible hybrid option being offered in the future but we will have to wait and see.
