The Ford Mustang GT500 will be arriving in 2018 with an even more powerful engine but they will also have a new competitor to face and based on the numbers that some of the reports are suggesting, it looks like Ford might want to watch their back.
Chevrolet has announced that they are going to work on a new Chevrolet Corvette model that will be sitting on the top. The new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will be coming in with an upgraded engine.
While the top of the range Corvette can now offer about 650hp, it is believed that Chevrolet plans to give the Corvette ZR1 will be offering at least 700hp. Some people even predicted that we would see a 750hp model.
All that power paired with the lighter Corvette body is a great recipe for a Mustang GT500 rival and with what the GT500 will have to offer, the Corvette might end up winning the whole thing.
