Even with what the Chevrolet Corvette has to offer right now, it is still nowhere near what the Ford Mustang GT500 is offering but some believe that that might change soon as new reports are suggesting that Chevrolet might be working on a new Corvette.
Chevrolet has not mentioned anything yet but it is believed that they might be working on a new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 that will come with a 700hp engine when it arrives. The top of the range Corvette that we gave now delivers about 650hp. But is 700hp going to be enough?
The 2018 Ford Mustang GT500 is said to come with an 800hp engine. Even if te Corvette has a weight advantage, we still think it won’t come close to beating the Mustang GT500 just yet.
The Ford Mustang GT500 is not its only concern either. There is also the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat which already offers about 707hp right now.
