Talks about Ford working on a Diesel engine for the Ford F-150 have been going on for some time now but nothing ever came out of it. However, people seems to think that the diesel engine is near now and that we might actually see it next year.
There is not a whole lot of detail about the 2018 Ford F-150 right now but it is believed that the Ford F-150 will be getting an exterior upgrade for 2018 along with a new diesel V6 engine that they took from the Land Rover Td6 model, the 3.0-liter turbo diesel V6.
While some view this as a game changer for the Ford F-150, others think that the addition of the diesel engine will not affect the sales of the Ford F-150 at all because they think that most people will still go for the EcoBoost model since it is cheaper and is able to produce slightly more power.
