Things have not been going too well for the Subaru WRX STi in the last few years. Minimal upgrades and the arrival of new rivals like the Ford Focus RS meant that the Subaru WRX STi was slipping further behind but could things really be turning for the better now that the 2017 Subaru WRX STi is here?
The Subaru WRX STi sales have been dropping the last few months but that could be because Subaru stopped the production of the 2016 model but did not have the 2017 model to offer yet.
Now that the 2017 is here, Torquenews reported that the 2017 Subaru WRX and Subaru WRX STi sales went up by 44.5%. Not only did it increase but it was also reported that the sales were higher than their sales back the June 2015.
The 2017 Subaru WRX STi will be coming in with a 2..5 liter H-4 engine that ill be delivering about 305hp and 290Nm of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission and will return about 17mpg in the city and 23mpg on the highway.
