The previous Subaru WRX would not have what it takes to take on the Ford Mustang but with all the new upgrades, will the Subaru WRX be able to challenge the Ford Mustang now.
The 2017 Subaru WRX was given an update. The 2017 model will be coming in with a 2.0 liter turbocharged boxer four engine that will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT and will deliver about 268hp and 258lb ft of torque.
Besides getting exterior upgrades, the Subaru WRX will also be getting the Eyesight Package as an optional feature.
The Ford Mustang, on the other hand, will be coming with a 2.3 liter 4 Cylinder engine that will be pushing out about 310hp. The Mustang will return about 31mpg on the highway and 22mpg in the city.
The Subaru WRX will retail for $27,515 while the Ford Mustang will retail for $25,645.
